ABOUT THE TRAINING INSTITUTE….

The Pudukkottai Government Industrial Training Institute,functioning under the Employment and Skill Development Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu, started in 1964 with 26.45 acres of land area with 5 trades (departments) and now operates with 10 trades (departments) and a total of 672 male and female trainees are trained  every year. The Training Institute is located at Thirugokarnam on the Pudukkottai-Trichy highway, 3km from the Pudukkottai bus stand. Pudukkottai Government Industrial Training Institute is the only Nodal Government Industrial Institute within the city limits. This Institute is proud Golden jubilee institute and running towards Diamond jubilee year.Pudukkottai Government Industrial Training Institute ensures that all people get Industrial(vocational) training. The various trainees who trained in the institute, today are proud of the employees of the Central & State Governments and Public & Private sector by working in various fields.
