Avur Chruch

Avur located at distance of 20 km from Tiruchirappalli and 42km from pudukkottai A Roman catholic church constructed during 1747 A.D has been exixted here.The prominent Tamil scholar Rev.father Joseph Beschi (Veermamunivar) started his religious service by initiating a mission in this church. Periodically many foreign tourists visit this place. Easter festival is a familiar festival celebrated here in a grand manner.
