1.    Abnormal bleeding tendencies
2.    AIDS (group with high risk behaviours /signs and symptoms
       suggestive     of AIDS)
3.    Allergic disorders
4.    Autoimmune disorders
5.    Cardiovascular disorders (low/high BP, angina, circulatory problems)
6.    Cerebro vascular disorders
7.    Chronic alcoholism
8.    Chronic renal disease
9.    Diabetes mellitus
10.   Endocrinal disorders
11.   Epilepsy
12.   Hepatitis B Carriers
13.   Infectious disease
14.   Liver disease and Malignant disorders

 

Conditions  Requiring Temporary Deferral  Of Blood  Donation
 

1.     Abortion  - 6 months
2.     Accident - 6 months
3.     Acupuncture - 6 months
4.     Alcoholism - 24 hours
5.     Allergy - 72 hours
6.     Anaemia - after treatment
7.     Asthma
8.     Blood donation - 3 months
9.     Blood transfusion - 6 months
10.   Common cold - 1 week
11.   Contact with a patient of infectious disease
12.   Dental extraction
